Katie-LifeSelector 03-25-2013 02:49 AM

Just finishes listening to Delta Machine - it's not bad - but wont be my fav. I loved their Exciter album.

The song 'Heaven' is more like what Dave Gahan is doing in solo :

And he was always very depressing. So i guess most fans killed themselves.

No, I am pretty sure most of us didn't kill ourselves.

Oh, I wasn't saying anything negative about Trent. He is a DM fan too, anyway ;)

I like his cover of Gary Numan's Metal too.

I felt it was perfectly done.

Tofu 03-25-2013 09:30 AM

I saw DM once, at some amphitheater outside of Sacramento (name escapes me, at the moment). They had one of the best visual stage shows I've ever seen.

I'd love to see them, again.

This weekend, he performed with half of Blur at a charity gig. Since they used to have a media created rivalry, that was fun to see.

New album sucks donkey's cock. Last few did.
They need to stick with old style.

It really won me over the second listen through. To me, it is an album that those that are more into the Just Can't Say Enough era or who only really dig the singles aren't going to like that much. However, those that like Songs of Faith and Devotion era are going to really come to love.

I like Heaven a lot but it is pretty much the most mainstreamy track on the album. 'Slow' keeps getting played for me, I like the mix of the synths at blues guitar.

What old style? They've changed it every few albums. Playing the Angel is a good album for me, Sounds of the Universe had some strong songs on an otherwise weak album. This is better than Sounds for sure.

Who also have a new album on the way out. I didn't like the last one but I'll give it a shot.

Amateur footage but this is it. That is also Paul Weller (ie of The Jam) on the drums.

I really like 'Slow', a bit different, but another track I like is 'Secret to the End' , but honestly, I am really interested what remix could they do live

took em a couple minutes to get it together but that's a catchy song.

gallagher's hair cracks me up, still has that bowl cut.

Secret to the End is another stand out for me and written by Gahn vs Gore.

They have said they aren't going to play anything pre-1986 on the tour. Which means, I still won't get to hear Blasphemous Rumours. However, that starts the tracks the can pick from with Black Celebration, which is fine by me.

Tender is one of my favorite Blur songs.

The older he gets the more Noel is like the dad that still has the same hair since high school.

Fly on the Windscreen is my fav. from that album. It is a shame that they won't play 'Master&Servant, another fav. of mine -

Do you know Wolfsheim? They play similar music :

Good call. Of all of those, I am going to miss Shake the Disease the most. It is great last time. They did most of those songs on the last tour. I guess maybe they want a break from some of the songs, I can understand that.

I can already tell you that the encore is probably where Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence will be placed.

I would really like to hear them play Judas.

That is a great song but it is really hard for me to pick a song from that album because it has so many of my favorites. A Question of Lust, Sometimes, A Question of Time, But Not Tonight, Stripped and, of course, Black Celebration.

I'll check that group out.
