Anyway, it appears that you ducked my original question/point. With what you've posted it was pretty easy to find out about your mainstream company in about 5 minutes.

Given how old you would have been in 1967 when your Dad's company was started, I still kind of doubt that you started the business with your Dad as you claim, since you were probably still a kid (which would make it possible for you to have served in Vietnam while a young guy since the war didn't end until 1975, although I'm not sure how much you were running the business with your Dad while simultaneously serving in the military as a young adult).

If you have a good mainstream business that you inherited/took over from your Dad, I seriously wonder why you would jeopardize your good luck by mixing it up with porn on GFY?

I don't actually owe anyone any justification or answers. If you want to think what you think, that's fine. But the fact is I did start in business with my father. He retired in the 1980's and passed on in the 90's.

I am not jeopardizing anything by posting here. I could've retired years ago and spent the rest of my life doing pretty much whatever. Once you get to a certain point, there is not much that can take you down. It's called debt to equity. And having been at this for as long as I have there is a lot of equity.

However, I only posted these pictures because I do have friends here. THey were very interested to see how the move to the new building went.

My life story is of little interest to anyone here. If you have questions about the building or machines I'll be happy to answer them.

From what I can tell, you were probably 12-13 years old in 1967, the year that your Dad started the company that you took over when he retired/died.

If you want everyone to believe that you started your company with your Dad at that age, fine. People here believe most of what is fed to them, even when it doesn't pass the smell test.

Reminds me of a long time ago, when I worked for a privately owned business. After the old man who founded the company died, and his kid took over, the company was a total joke. This was plainly nepotism at it's worst.

Most of the talented people left. Fortunately for the son, the old man knew a few things about business (and apparently his son), and had a plan for consultants to manage the transition, so that despite the son's ineptitude, the company still flourished.

To this day, the kid still is an arrogant SOB that tries to convince everyone that he is a self-made man, built his own company (when he mostly spends his time screwing around), yadda, yadda, when the truth was that he simply inherited an already established company, and he was nothing more than an empty shirt with a big wallet, and an even bigger ego, that knew how to shut up and listen to the consultants, and the real people running the business when they got behind the boardroom doors.

Good on you, that you have apparently been able to build upon your Dad's second generation company. Not sure why you need to embellish your story that you essentially co-founded the company with your Dad.

Check my first post. A simple truthful observation (to some it does not seem too wise to post about so much info about your mainstream biz on a porn board), along with an inside joke to Minte attached.

I had no idea who Minte was prior to this thread, aside from random posts of his that I recall seeing, most of which seemed centered on cars, and the rest I can recall were about his mainstream biz, and of course his strongly opinionated political rants (edit: and the occasional Packers thread).

I honestly didn't have any idea what he did in porn, if anything, since I couldn't remember a single thread in which he posted about what he did in the adult biz (and he does not have an adult link in his sig, which was why I asked).

When Minte posted yet again today, photos of his building, I was only going to comment about posting mainstream biz info on a porn board. However, when I used the GFY quote function, it displayed an adult-related website URL for the images. It only took a quick Whois, and a Google search to learn about the company, which I read that Minte's Dad started, and that he is a second-generation head of now.

From his anti-government, anti-union political rants, I had the impression that he built his business all by himself, a la John Galt (except John Galt is a fictional character).

Instead of letting it drop, he made a statement of fact in response to me, that he founded the company with his Dad, which was clearly not the impression that I got from looking at the company history (founded in 1967), and then when considering his age (once you know a person's location, etc., is pretty easy to locate their age on the net).

When I called his bluff, he doubled down by avoiding my question, and throwing out a red herring statement to deflect from the point I was trying to make, and stated that he was old enough to serve in the Army during Vietnam (which had nothing to do with whether he started a company with his Dad in 1967). The Vietnam war didn't end until 1975. I am a Vietnam era vet too, but there is no way I could have started a business in 1967, unless you count my paper route and cutting neighbors lawns.

Even after I provided more details, Minte still insisted on clinging to this story, which is apparently important to his self-image, that he was a co-founder of the company which he now heads. All I know is what I read. That the company he now runs, is a second generation company started in 1967 by Minte's Dad.

All of that aside, my main point was about his posting info that is pretty much irrelevant to adult, and I thought somewhat risky considering how much he has to lose. By his most recent reaction, he apparently now realizes this to some extent (even if his take is slightly different).

I have never disputed that Minte is the current owner of the company (as others have), nor have I exposed his personal info, even though there is a Whois record for an adult website with all of his info on it (which would have made it fair game, if that was how I do things).

I will also do nothing else with the info. I don't know the guy, and I don't have anything against him personally. Looks like he has a pretty solid biz, and makes loads of cash judging by all of the cars that he likes to post about so frequently.

I will simply take into consideration what I think about his actual background, that he probably learned the biz, and inherited the family business, from his Dad (no shame in that), when I consider his other viewpoints about government, unions, and the such.

I've always been somewhat of a champion for real underdogs, that why I get a little heated when I hear conservatives like Romney talk about poor and working class people feeling entitled. People who come from wealth/connections should be the last to talk about feeling entitled.

Nathan (Fabian Thylmann) is another example of a guy that claims to be a self-made man, however when you look deeper at how he got to where he is, it appears to many that his success is due at least in part, to some shall we say, less than honorable business practices.

The facade that Thylmann tried to create is crumbling now. He spent a few weeks in jail as a result of a large scale investigation into his taxes and finances. Still Fabian wants everyone to believe that the only problem is that the German government just doesn't understand his tax issues.

If Fabian believed so strongly that what he was doing in Germany was 100% legal, then why did he suddenly shut much of his German operations down following the police raid? This could lead people to speculate that the German investigators may have found more on Nathan's computers than the story that he is currently trying to spin.

Anyway, getting off on a bit of a tangent there.

I genuinely wish Minte well with his mainstream business, and if he's still in porn, I look forward to still debating with him from time to time on GFY.

I had no intention of dragging it on, but when someone posts something as fact that you pretty much have strong reason to believe is untrue, then sometimes you feel compelled to respond (since essentially by contradicting me, he was implying that I was wrong/lying).

Minte can correct me, but I clearly read that he worked for another company out of High School, became GM at his Dad's company in 1995 when his Dad retired (almost 30 years after the company was founded), and only became CEO of the family business when his Dad passed away (apparently other relatives are/were also execs in the family biz, which is what my inside joke about nepotism was about).

My approach might seem heavy handed, but I'm pretty sure I had my facts straight, whereas some of Minte's statements did not seem completely truthful to me based upon what I gleaned from public media reports.

As for the jealousy and hate "bait", some of you guys read way too much into things (or try to attribute your opinion as fact). I'm more humble than my board persona may sometimes suggest, and I'm not so materialistic, so I don't really get jealous about what other people have.

I've actually read a few of the press pieces about Minte's company, and it sounds like a totally legit and profitable company that is going employs a lot of people and makes Minte even wealthier in the process (you could say that he is making a mint). What is to be jealous about that?

Minte was one of my first trade partners in the late 90s early 2000s. He was in this business before the majority here. Was always a good honest guy to deal with. I respect his political positions and enjoy seeing his mainstream business endeavors which are far better than most of the shit posted on this forum.
