i like how they had to remove the vents on the top of the rear fenders to accommodate the convertible roof cover. i am looking forward to seeing it in the flesh, the overalldesign looks real good, my only issue is the rear end, specifically all of the vents. 6 vents across the back on the coupe!

the vents are practical on the performance models ... transmission cooler, brakes etc.. maybe even the torque converter ... the vents on the hood look like crap to me but those vents push the nose down...

oh i'm with ya, i watched a video interview of the design leader drone on about how all the vents are functional and not for show. but 6 vents on the rear of a front engine car is excessive. i have read they are going to make the vents body color which will help a lot, but for me, in the pictures, the rear end looks very busy.
not a deal breaker and in person it could all look better, just chitty chattin.

yeah...it is taking me time to really 'like' the look of the car
Amazing looking car. You can order them now but it looks like GM has a backlog of 2013 Corvettes as they are offering a $3000 cash discount to buy one off the lot.

the thing about the 2013 is the old interior... other than that a great car... I paid like 38K for 2004 vette
the reason I got the c5 is because I loved the rear end look.... oh well... getting used to the c7 look I guess
idon't necessarily mind them, i am surprised they went with a camaro ish look though, especially since, i think, every vette model through the years has had round/oval rear lights. the designer said they went with this style because it allowed them to do 3d like effects or something with the fixtures, but certainly they could do the same with round

hah, too funny, i've found they usually get most excited about mercedes sl models, but i've been around fewer than you.

I think the rear end being a camaro clone is not going to sit well with Corvette enthusiasts.
The rest of the car looks great. But it is disappointing that with every new version of the Vette, they do something questionable.

there is talk of a kit to change the tail lights to round.... would have been cool to put long vertical tail lights
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about that
