Sitewide footer links being a no-no hasn't been a secret for a couple of years now, at least.
Blogroll links still work though, as long as they don't look as spammy as the footer links usually do.

I should have done this long ago.
I installed Widget Logic on my WordPress CMS. I took out my links from all post. I am thinking about removing all sidebar ads and links when a Google Bot visits.

Hi,
I came accross a website called pornotube.xxx This website has sitewide links on the header of each page. Since this is a tube website and many pages containing videos, there are also many outgoing sitewide links. I checked in alexa, this website has rank 100,000
