Diagnostic tool for Hard drive going bad?

--Diagnostic tool for Hard drive going bad?--

I know when a drive is going bad, there isn't much you can do except rush to save data,

But does anyone here know of a software/diagnostic tool that may give me more overall information?

    Windows7/8 based.

    Thanks guys-and-gals!

Get Hiren's Boot. It's got a lot of different tools on it.

Get your stuff copied immediately. Running a disk check could finish it off.

              #1, save your data.

Seatools is a very good diagnostic to look for bad sectors, etc, and give you a good idea of the drive's health.
