![]() I'm looking for a Health and Dental Insurance company for Self-Employed individuals, that are fairly inexpensive $100.00/mo or less.
Any have suggestions or recommendations? Thanks, Satan

I'm not sure about in your area but believe it or not Blue Cross and Blue Shields has a major medical/dental program that is better than the one at my 9 to 5 and a hell of a lot cheaper. You might check out their main website http://www.bcbs.com/
I would love to see the expression on their faces when they come across this as a referrer in their stats..... |

Less than $100 bucks? It can be done but you'll get shafted by a huge deductible or high co-pays and then of coarse have the pleasure of dealing with claims that are denied because it's a ass-backwards company. I've had Health Options, BCBS, Foundation, United, Aetna and you are far better off paying a slightly higher premium and having no deductible and 10-20/per doctor visit co-pays.

The BCBS I found for myself was about 84 bucks a month that was with a $500 hospitalization deductible but it had a $20 copay for doc visits and 10 or 20 for prescriptions. I think it might even cover STD's j/k but seriously i've done a lot of research and this was the best I found for the money. If you want to get up into the 200-300 dollar range you could try Golden Rule. But all in all I like the BCBS policy I mean I have only been hospitalized once in over 30 years so i'm not sweating the hospitalization deductible. The only disadvantage was the rates start climbing a bit when you hit 40 or 45

If you are in Cali, try Blue Cross. I don't know if they have plans for that cheap but they are reliable. Or if you are ex-military use USAA and get the best coverage.
