Having a French Canadian lastname, Benoît (pronounced ben-waa, like the balls) I've found the French we learn in Toronto schools isn't even acceptable. When I went to Gatineau and tried out my French with the Parisian accent I was taught in school - no one would speak French with me. After hearing me, they'd say "I speak English" lol.

Forget the beer...I'd sooner know if she moans in french or english.
