Since this will not be a jury trial, but will involve a judge and possibly 2 advisers, does this present an issue where a judge can be more easily swayed. Are judges open to financial persuasion? I'm not insinuating, just curious how the justice system works in South Africa, I have no familiarity. But justice in the USA, at least celebrity justice, seems to work in favor of the celebrity (athletes included).

Not saying that it doesn't happen, but for my 10 years there, I've never heard of judges facing corruption charges or even being accused of corruption in the papers, etc. Corruption in the police, that's a completely different animal... I know two guys that were sentenced in South Africa and both received fair trials and sentences for what they did. When it comes to serious crimes, the judges don?t fuck around AT ALL.

From what I've heard so far on the news, this trial won't be easy though and it could go either way, he's the only one that knows what really happened

i found it very odd that the lead investigator was all of a sudden re-charged with attempted homicide.
that being said, it is interesting how we all want to believe this guy is innocent because of the fact he is a Olympic gold winner... somehow that makes you a better person.

We had a sweepstake today, and a bit of google.
One of the few routes you would have is this
, a) bus to Namibia , its a neighbour and a semi-ratified extradition treaty. Pre signed , not fully agreed
b) Nigeria, no extradition, still under treaty.
c) tricky bit, you want to get from lagos to uruguay but you might have to go transit so the best option is belgium and stay in the international transit zone
d) you dont want to go to buenos aires as they have extradition
e) so you go amsterdam, stay in transit
f) go to dutch antilles (semi jurisdiction, but bent as fuck its all taliban or mafia)
g) hop a flight to uruguay and stay in monte video, which was good enough for the graf spee
h) declare "Unfair trial by Media and therefore unable to obtain justice"
i) shag fucking hot latina bitches for the rest of your life doggy style

or it was an accident, in which case if the suicide watch isnt good he'll be taking a lead aspirin by tuesday
