Mine offers a third party online payment "solution" that also just happens to cost $14 per use, haha. (payrentchex I think it is.) Sure it's nice if the alternative is a tedious hike or drive, or if you're out of town. Or maybe if you have a sugar daddy.
The other alternative is walking 50 feet to the office and sliding a check through the door slot.

my mortgage is ACH, automatically taken out each month.
my office is by check and annoying as fuck. the guy that owns the buildings has some serious money, but so difficult to make payments any other way. checks are sent to his bank, then they take care of putting it into his account.
I tried sending an auto payment through BofA but they can't figure out when they get a check like this to deposit it... headaches!

I just snail mail a check to the property manager's office for my rent. I have most of my other recurring personal bills paid by direct deposit from my checking account and most of my monthly or annual business bills like domains paid by credit card however.Comment

I don't do cash as I travel a lot and it is a total pain in the backside to be there to get it. I only offer check at the moment but I have a done a transfer at the same bank and now I have someone who wants more options. I said fine what are you thinking?
Otherwise I do mostly govt assisted housing which is awesome. Check on the 2nd of the month.

Why do some of you guys pay cash for your rent? Is your landlord operating an illegal dwelling and giving you a discount or something? If you ever get into a disagreement with him or her you may not have proof of payment, unless you get receipts as well. Not to mention isn't it a pain in the ass to get cash at the ATM or bank lobby every month and go meet up with a live person during business hours to make a payment?Comment

I have six units rented : they all pay by check, with a series of postdated checks ( except one stubborn that sends the check in the ,ail for the 1st )`.
2 mortgages are paid bi-weekly automatically from my bank account.I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !
