Graphics Question

i wanna make a design with some 'gauge' type thingies in it , i mean like a speedometer , how do i make the litte clock like tick marks? Yes I know in Photoshop i can make vertical lines and rotate each one individually, um..........that's way too much work, gotta be an easier way. Why can't they make a brush that will rotate the brush shapes to a circular or any other path in the same way you can do text to a path in Illustrator? I'm using PS 6, maybe this has been added to PS 7?

thank you for your love and support in our hour of need

yours in christ

make a horizontal and a vertical line equal and intersecting.. merge the layers.. duplicate the layer.. rotate 45 degrees.. merge the layers.. dupliacate the layer. rotate 22.5 degrees or whatever.. so each time you're rotating twice as many lines as last time.. keep going till you've got as many lines as you want.. make a two circle selections to delete the inside lines and outside lines to create the circle of radiating lines you want... should take about a minute or two..

crude but simple and effective.

Don't feel bad man... when I used to run the Photoshop Tip o' the Week, the most popular archived one was creating TV scan lines. =]
