that is if you sort it by total number. Of course our total number is going to be fairly high, we have a lot of people here, but when you sort by murder rate we are more in the middle of the list.

It shows total crimes by country. These are reported crimes so many of the third world countries where crimes are less likely to be reported are lower.

Of course the US is number 1, but to me the interesting thing is that the UK is #2. They have half as many crimes as the US, but the US has 5 times as many people. Looks like Americans aren't the only people with a crime problem.

Cause you aren't allowed to defend yourself in britain. You can only use proportional force. If someone breaks into your house and is unarmed, you can't stab them with a knife. Dude I live in a city neighborhood. A few months back someone attempted a home invasion on my street and were run off by the owner and his rifle. They then proceeded to drop the loaded 9mm in my bushes and hide behind my garage.

My comment was meant to say that if you lived on the Gaza strip your chances of getting killed are huge compared to you or I living here in the USA just because of the political situation there and all the violence between the Palestinians and Israel.
