Part of my issue with him and the church is part of my dislike for organized religion in general.

Sure, other leaders, kings etc live in luxury, but they aren't claiming to be living in the image of Christ. Should he be able to live comfortably? Absolutely. Should they make sure he is safe when he travels? Without question. But when they try to make it out like he has given up his worldly possessions to live a life of servitude yet he is surrounded by wealth 99.9% of those who follow him will never experience I find it a little bit hard to swallow.

I have the same issue with a lot of charities that raise millions and millions then they actually give just a tiny percent of what they bring in to those in need or to the causes they work for.

God is going to be mad that they sold his shit.

He is not the living image of Christ, but pretty much every christian that I have known fairly well has told me that they believe in Christ, follow his teaching and strive to emulate him.
