My stance on this is, I know both XFR & Sinhost pretty well....

I know they are both probably in the top 5 of hosts of hosts.

I use both XFR & Sinhost. They are the only hosts I use. Period.

I know that both Brad & Ray will go to some pretty long lengths to ensure a client is happy. And for Ray to have to come to the board because someone takes issue with his company, I simply have to stand in Ray's corner. I would do the same for Brad if the situation came up.

These are two guys that, not only are NOT going to jack you for something.... but they're going to go out of their way and bend over fucking backwards to make sure you're up and running smooth.

That's what they do. And they do it better than anyone else.

So whatever gothweb was doing.... ya know... I realize he's got his following and friends and all that shit... but if it comes down a question of character between the hoster & hostee..... XFR & Sinhost will always win.

End of story.

I have respect for you and the operation you run. You can tell from my ICQ with Ian that I had no issue with him moving and supported that effort by opening his account back up so he could move his sites over to his dedicated server with you.

I never even quoted or asked for his dedicated hosting business.

The issue I have is his loud mouth that couldn't leave well enough alone. The post he made was a condescending remark and he knows it. It wasn't his first in the last few days. It came to a head tonight and it was time to deal with it. I'm not going to take the ?IBILL Road? and not address slanderous remarks posted on any board. Period. If someone takes my company to task, I will address it every time.

XFR Networks has been hosting PayCounter for over a year now. Ray's netowrk, support and prices have been awesome!

I can't believe this incident is still going on. From the looks of it, Ray bent over backwards to help even his smallest customer and he was slammed in the face in public for it.

Congrats to XFR and SINhost for taking care of a pain in the ass customer!!

Personally, I would have left the unpaid hosting bill to a private forum (phone, email, ICQ) but thats just me.

However, I have newfound respect for XFR - that was a class move dropping the overage charge. I honestly didn't think there was many of us left who actually gave a shit about our clients. XFR networks just got bumped up a notch in my eyes.

Well, back to adding these new domains - duty calls!

XFRs hosting was great. Their policy on sending email surprised the hell out of me, but they were good enough to change their mind and not cancel my account.

However, their policy on overage wasn't going to work for me. Cutting off service automatically just didn't make sense. For that, and other reasons, I moved. As far as I knew, Ray was going to charge my card for the additional bandwidth, as he had on a few other occasions.

I'm not a spammer. I pay my bills. Yeah, I can be oblivious, and yeah, I make mistakes, and yeah, I can be an asshole. Just don't call me a spammer, or say I don't pay my bills.

Ray, when I posted on the boards about a problem, I didn't use your name-- and I tried to contact you first for a couple of hours.

When you come to accuse me of not paying a bill, you do so without contacting me. You also quote ICQ logs without my permission, and cut off the dicussion where you see fit.

I don't yet understand why you think I am backing out on paying any bill. However, since you locked me out of your CRM system, I can't really look-up how much I owe versus how much you have charged me.

If you don't like that I questioned your overage policy in a passing comment in a threat, that's certainly your right. You are welcome to complain about that, or maybe even back up your policy. In the case of a bill, though, I'd think contacting me would go a long way.
