Have you ever been to a McDonalds in a foreign country? They are packed. I dont care where you are, South America, Europe, and even your lousy country. It also has to do with the population. America is much more heavily populated the most countries. Therefore our % of fat people will be greater, as well as our population of slim people. If you go any Fitness Center around the US. They are usually pretty packed. I go to the gym near my house and if I dont go at certain times I cannot use the machines. I have seen more people I know lose a lot of weight in recent times then ever before. I was in Germany in the summer time, and there are plenty of fat people there. I go to Canada atleast once a year to ski, there are PLENTY of fat people there as well. The fact is, America has a huge population, yes comparing to China, we are obese, but most asian people are borderline midgets. So that is genetic. Not really food consumption related. People on this board watch too much TV.Comment

I live in USA and have lived in 2 other countries and probably visited more than 15 countries.
There is no doubt that there is a bigger % of fat people and people out of shape here compared to any other country I have been to.
I think the main reason is the health care system, you do not really get educated about what is good for you since the burden for health is on yourself
There is other advantages of the US which even put the bad parts.. Same as any other country, if there is something good there is typically also something bad, you can't win all the timeI buy plugs

I am not saying everyone here is skinny by any means. But I think as a whole. America has become a lot more health conscience over the last decade or so. Another big problem in the US is the way they manufacture food, the chemicals the put in them / on them to preserve them. Where you go to a country like Italy and everything is from within a 100 mile radius or less and its home grown shit. Here in the US they call it Oraganic. There it is just food. But again, take a country like Italy and a country like the US. We have more skinny people in the US then Italy has people. So its kind of hard to compare. And it is not like the people in Italy take care of themselves and give 2 shits about health care. Anyone who doesnt have money there usually has minimal teeth and works on a farm or in some factory or something, and this is most of the people there. Yea, they are skinny, but the smoke a shit ton of cigarettes, drink a lot. But they are skinny. Does this make them healthy? Not really. It is just a constant that people like to bash america. Not because they have fact. Just because there country probably sucks compared to America. The only country at this point that has a better economy, etc. Is Germany. I believe you are from Europe if I am not mistaken, and I am sure you can agree with me, that most of the counties and people there are poor. People like the America bash. They are called Haters. Its as simple as that. Look at this Bryan guy for example. He lives in Canada. Most of Canada is uninhabitable, they are still governed by the Queen of England, there currency is no better or worse then the US dollar. Most people who live in Quebec hate it because its borderline communism with the French bullshit. Give me a break... Its Un-American not to like American
