Don't mean to butt in, but this thread has gotten silly.

Amp is a fantastic designer any way you put it. Has a keen eye on layout and flare. Some of his designs and layouts are not my style, but a well rounded designer is able to change their personal style to suit what the client is after....Amp has shown he can do just that. That to me is what makes him good.

I've seen designers who are incredible at what they do. But some have a very hard time 'letting go' of their style to suit their clients needs. Doesn't make them a bad designer at all, but it does shows why lots of companies will hire a variety of designers depending on what the project calls for.

I don't see what Amp charges to be anyones business but Amp and his clients. Sure you can get it for cheaper for other very well known designers who are incredibly skillful in their own right....but so what..who cares.

Maybe i'm just missing the point to all this? Bah..that's usually the case anyway..
