A weird photoshop question - I don't know what to search for to get help
I have a kind of odd Photoshop question. I've never run into this, before, but now I need it for something I am working on.
I have a complicated image with tons of rulers/guides/slices all over it. I am wondering if there is a way to insert space into the canvas between two guides and have it push everything else outward. For instance, go from ----------'s = guides ---------- ---------- [space] ---------- ---------- to ---------- ---------- [space] [space] [space] ---------- ---------- I know I can enlarge the canvas and move the image elements around manually, but then all of the guides I have all over the place will be useless because the image elements they guide will have moved. I am looking to insert space and have everything around the space, including the guides and slice settings, get pushed outward (see lame diagram above). SpaceAce |

I don't recall that being possible, the best you will be able to do is lock your guides, and shift each element across, I know that you won't be able to put space between guides so that the guides have the same space from the borders with one simple move... not with anything up until at least Photoshop 6
