So, much money in mainstream...especially in the government sector...

Mainstream web development and design is a nice chuck of money that is surpassing my adult stuff but government work is insane.

Government web development is dwarfing what I making currently with mainstream and adult combined.

Government agencies pay 20 times more than regular mainstream businesses when it comes to web stuff.

I still love doing the adult stuff though...

how do you get government contarcts? If they are paying 20 times more then its hundreds of companies hunting for those orders (some maybe even greasing some palms)

Agreed, last election here we did a design for a guy running to be one of the circuit judges, Dude dropped a ton of money on his site and lost and told us that he'll be back next election cycle to get another site as he and his 'people' were happy with the site and the amount of feedback they got from it.

That's because they're not spending their own money.

Processing request on a standalone hosted solution where a worker can work from home or office or pretty much anywhere they want..

Also, streamlining their existing system, which means they need fewer workers.

Yup, the site we built for the judge cost him $15k plus hosting and maintenance fees and domain registration at $125 a yr.
