    Do you have DirecTV Genie?

    I'm thinking about switching over to DirecTV, due to local cable prices but also the Genie. It seems pretty cool.

    Worth making the switch?

                      Yes and I love direct tv. I can tape so much stuff because my house is networked connecting the units. The're great for sports as I get all the packages throughout the year.

                                  i have had comcast and uverse without a contract on and off for a few years now.

                                  maybe shitty cable out by you locks you into a contract not here tho.

                                      Direct TV rocks.... Everything about it beats the cable company.

                                      I'm using the HBO Go app alot as I am traveling - caught up both seasons of Game of Thrones.

                                                      Since you get a nice discounted rate during your Directv contract, you simply call in after the 2 years and tell them you are cancelling and they'll gladly keep you on your promo rate vs letting you go. I'm paying half of what I paid on cable, while getting so much more than I had with cable.
