Socialist beuracracies dont work. For every person who does need welfare as a helping hand there are tons of deadbeats and welfare mothers popping out ten kids.

Last I checked this was a capatilist society. It is not the governments money. If there was less taxes, I would donate to local charities that do a good job and would produce results, rather than sinking it into inefficient federal programs.

The funny thing is europe and canada have had more of a crackdown on obsenity and have censorship.

What a crock... have you no idea of the abuse in the welfare system? - Stop that and there will be enough for the poor.

The Governor of VA. (I believe it was) a few years ago cut welfare and cut taxes - guess what happened.... Employment went UP - and so did tax collection dollars.

You should see some of the new industry and businesses in Columbus OH in the "Tax-Free zone" they created - they are making more money than they were before.

The solution is NOT a bigger Government with more and more hand outs - Unless you ask Kennedy - Byrd and a couple other of the most powerful democrats.

If it were only that easy. If we completely removed ourselves politically from the middle east, they would still hate us. They would hate us for our apathy. But more importantly, they hate us because nothing symbolizes what muslims DON'T have more than America: freedom and wealth. We are the largest and wealthiest "free" country in the world. They, on the other hand, live under oppressive regimes with rampant unemployment, povert, torture of citizens, etc., and sadly many of these regimes have been supported by the U.S. Allies like Saudi Arabia and Egypt receive a shitload of aid from the U.S., yet both countries suppress freedom of expression and have incredible disparities between the haves and have-nots.

Hey Jeremy!! I am have been voting more years then you are old. I have voted republican since 1981. I wont be doing that anymore. Not that there is a another party thats any better, but I have lost faith in our system.

No - the U.S. does not hate you because of your culture - I can only assume you get a very limited amount of un-bias news.

Variations on the quote have been attributed to a lot of different people including Winston Churchill, Wendell L. Willkie, George Bernard Shaw, Aristide Briand, William Casey, Woodrow Wilson, Otto Von Bismarck, Georges Clemenceau, Benjamin Disraeli.....

I think it's usually attributed to Churchhill or George Bernard Shaw, although their variation was:

"If a man is not a socialist by the time he is 20, he has no heart.
If he is not a conservative by the time he is 40, he has no brain."

Benjamin Disraeli I think was the around before most of these people, so he was probably the original, and he said:

"A man who is not a liberal at 16 has no heart;
a man who is not a conservative at 60 has no head."
