It's true. Since they are not going to ban guns (contrary to what people want to believe), tragedies will continue to happen. That doesn't mean they shouldn't work to keep guns out of crazy people's (like you, Marion/Sally/Sidney) hands.

Rep/Dem, right/left, or in the middle it really doesn't matter guns are here to stay. Types of guns may change but the numbers won't. They just won't.

The only real decrease in gun violence will come from addressing the many variables tied to gun crimes. That is the only solution and what we should be discussing.

When I advocate background and mental health checks on people that want to own guns, I am thinking of people like the OP.
