Doctors are usually held accountable as are drug manufacture companies if they did something that caused the death.
Doctors & drug companies are also required to keep malpractice insurance.
So.. by that line of thinking if you want to compare guns to doctors & drugs.. Perhaps Gun owners should be required to have accidental shooting insurance and gun manufactures maybe should be liable if their guns are used to kill people?
Is this what you are saying?
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.
would be interesting if they did it the other way around as well. how many lives saved via guns vs the medical industry.

The drug manufacturers are actively marketing and pushing people to take their drugs. The gun manufacturers do not market their guns to civilians for you to go kill other people.
Is an automobile manufacturer held responsible for a drunk driver killing someone or for any driver killing someone? No.

Is the automobile manufacturer held responsible for a drunk driver killing someone? No. Do we hold Colt or Bushmaster or Armalite responsible when someone goes on a shooting rampage. No, we do not.
The difference is the vast majority of Americans need a car on a daily basis, but have no need for a firearm. My wife, for example, uses her car on a daily basis but yet has never needed a firearm. The family across the street, husband and wife, three kids, uses their cars on a daily basis but yet has never ever needed or touched a firearm. My other neighbor is from Cuba, wife, two girls; He utterly fails to understand why anyone in the US needs a firearm.
You can't compare firearm deaths to automobile deaths; We need cars. You can't compare firearm deaths to deaths caused by doctors; Eventually almost all of us will die while under the care of doctors.

YES! People DO hold the guns accountable, haha, that is the whole point of this. People who want even more gun control and to ban the right to own a firearm. Blaming everything except the only person responsible, the one who pulled the trigger.
Also, I do get your point. But who is to tell another person what they do and do not need? I actually do not need a car and don't own one.
Remarkably few people NEED a gun to go about their daily lives.
Need is an ambiguous term in this case, open to interpretation. People need very little of the material things that we have currently. So?
Are we going to sit here and tell people what they need now? You don't need an iPhone, you don't need a taser, you don't need a lock on your door, you don't need alcohol or drugs (which cause far more deaths than firearms)... and so on?
Just because you do not like or want something, doesn't mean you tell someone else they don't need it so they shouldn't have it lol, wtf.
People are retards with or without guns, half the population has a below average IQ and almost 30% believe god effects the outcome of sporting events. These are the people that gravitate towards guns simply due to the fact that they operate on more of a fear based primal level and yet somehow we are supposed to be safer with these same loons carrying guns.

The fact you have to explain this to imbeciles as dj the kid over and over again just shows how fucking dumb the gun freaks are.

OK - forget guns - Very few people NEED something that can kill anyone within X hundred yards of where they are standing.

I don't need Anthrax - but by your argument I should have it if I want it. Whats the difference between that and a gun.
So the fact that a crazy or drunk person could also just ram their car into you on the highway and kill you is different?
My point is guns don't kill people, people that pull the trigger on a gun do.
which is why we need to restrict people from getting them so easily. any idiot knows that an intimate object can't kill anyone, i don't even get why people say that.
you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..

Agreed, I think sensible gun control laws should stay put. But all out banning firearms is not the answer. Criminals, crazy people and whoever will acquire them regardless.
funny how people equate wanting to ban certain weapons with banning all guns

You clowns always use the same argument its comical. A guns sole purpose is to KILL. A car is used as a mode of transportation. When was the last time someone used a car to kill 20 little kids in a school? Seriously if you are going to argue this at least come up with a valid point. Its the same shit you guys come up with.

You asked if we held the automobile manufacturer responsible for a drunk driver, and we don't. In the same breath, we don't blame Colt every time there is a school shooting.
But I'm guessing your point is "guns don't people, people kill people". This is true. People kill people with cars, people kill people with knives, people kill people with baseball bets. The difference is we need cars, we need knives, we need baseball bats. We have legitimate need for these items.
But only about thirty percent of Americans own firearms. (I know that number is widely open to debate, but I couldn't really get a firm number.) And even with that group you and further divide it up as to why gun owners own guns - some for sport, some for hunting, yet others for protection. The first part of the problem is that the rest of Americans completely fail to understand why anyone needs a firearm - be it for sport or protection. Most of us go our entire lives without ever having the need to own a firearm.

This is comical.... Gun owners are a loud group who firmly believe in the 2nd amendment. But the rest of Americans don't care either way until there is a mass shooting, and then they are against it.
I have a friend of mine who lives here in the same town, Tony is his name. Six blocks away from me. We have a low crime rate here. He swears up and down that he needs his firearms for home protection. Why does he feel he needs it and I don't, being as we live int he same hometown. I find it comical - he's scared out of his mind and goes to the range every freaking Saturday. Me.... I go once every month. I just don't live in fear like he does and I'm not sure why he does.
But who is tell him he cannot own a firearm? Luckily we do have the 2nd amendment.
We just need better protections as to who is allowed to have firearms.
This one is naturally retarded. A VP of sales starting threads on subjects that will alienate half of those who read them and won't change anybody's views....

That's not true really.
For some people it's a sport - target practice - while others use firearms to protect themselves, and others use firearms to hunt. These are all valid reasons to own a firearm.

ok, Valid point
Timothy McVeigh used a rental truck to kill 168 people, 19 under the age of 6 and injured another 680 people
A gun is used for protection as a deterrent, that's why cops carry them.
Drones in Afghanistan have killed a reported 176 children, yet Obama keeps sending them
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about that
How many bombings are there in the usa compared to gun violence? The mother of the little girl that was killed in arizona a while ago said that 80% of the kids killed by guns in the world are in the USA. You don't think that is a problem? Bush also ordered drone attacks, maybe he should not have went into afghanistan and iraq in the first place and obama would not have to clean up the mess that was left.

Yes, and still you fail to see the difference. There is a valid purpose for a rental truck. Everyone on this board, at one time or another, has used a rental truck. Not everyone on this board has held a firearm in their hand.

You really look bad when you take silly swings at Obama.
First drone strike under Bush was 2002. In 2007 Bush greatly increased the use of drones.
Odd, didn't hear you bitching much about drone strikes when Bush was in office.
