Not that this matters much, but if you look at any other post I've made about CCBill it's always been positive. Up until Feb 7th I had no complaints.

i know this might sound too obvious, but try signing up for an account through his link code, then change it and try again. It'll only cost you the ccbill rake, which they'll charge back to you, and youll figure out if thats the prob or not.

This isn't some new problem. We've been calling DAILY for nearly 2 weeks!
My thought would be because it isn't CCBill's job to do the webmasters work.

At percentages in the teens usually my processor would be telling me something. It's called customer service and good business. I can't believe most processors don't even try to appeal to new customers.

yeah, this is not on ccBill's head at all... you should shitcan your gallery designer, he doesn't know how to read html obviously (except in the FrontPage preview pane), and it *isn't* ccBill's job to page through every line of code on your site looking for silly errors, they just process money and send out checks on time..

Dude don't blame CCBILL for your mistake.

Yes it would have been nice for them to point this out but fact remains you need to be in control of your own stuff. I've had this very same problem.

You can't blame CCBILL for your mistake.

Corvett it does sounds like its time for an office memo though.

Will Sparrow, the gallery designer, didn't catch the link problems, I didn't catch them, and neither did CCBill.

BUT another weird thing is that all his galleries prior to Feb 7th still receive traffic. The link code is fine in them: he received enough sales to support himself. Why all of a sudden do ZERO click throughs show up for those? They're in archives all over the place.
Probably b/c he resaved them in frontpage and reuploaded them. That would be my guess. Frontpage loves to add new things for your pleasure. hehe.

BV,

We have been with CCBill ever since DMR went under and that is way they had accounts set up back then (0100, 0200 etc.) I just assumed that all accounts where set up the same way. My mistake;-)

Currently eating my crow sandwich. Goes pretty well with Ketchup and a Coke.

Corvett has been great. He called me on the phone, ICQ'd me... etc. He even looked at my site and noticed I'm using an older form (I've been with CCBill for 2 years) and offered to upgrade it to the new form that has some nice new features.

Thanks again, Corvett.

This is what (who) makes CCbill top-notch I think.

Others and myself have bitched and moaned about getting an Ibill rep or two on GFY (or on the boards... someone said there are other boards besides GFY.. go figure.) --- and there was an Ibill rep here for a second, but she seemed to have exited as fast as she entered . They couldn't take the all of the backlogged heat/issues I guess.

I don't even remember the girls name now.

Ibill-mary? Ibilloh.. Ibill-Cathy or Kathy I think it was. Hrmf.

heh, goBigtime, that means its all true... there was another terrible rep for a billing solution here, who was that..? someone from epoch i think, threatening webmasters that if they left epoch over the visa fee's they "...wouldn't be welcome to return". bad PR seems to run rampant w/ many of the ISPS..

The real bummer is for the poor guy who in essence wasted all the hits to the sponsor.

The good part is that if a paysite gets sales, even though they are "Unreferred" through a webmasters "Valid" linking code, they still get the sales.

I screwed up for one of my best sponsors for ccbill at first, sending all the hits to the wrong affiliate code. There were dozens of sales to the wrong code before I found out and fixed the codes.

My point is that the sponsor still made the sales and didn't have to split with anyone at all.

uninstall front page. I did 2 years ago and have never had a problem since... with the exception of my own typos.

There is a setting in Front Page that says "do not alter existing code" or something like that, so if your designer just reopens pages in FP to make changes it won't screw up the ampersand issue.

You'd think Microsoft would have fixed that stupid problem by now...

Good grief. The problem was YOUR gallery submitter's fault. You think ccbill should be checking out link codes for every page and site they process for?

One "&" is correct. Browsers will translate "&" into "&". (see http://www.htmlhelp.com/reference/charset/)

The thing is that you both have 2 of them, and one isn't even correct.

"refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=910684-0001&PA=373139"

Should be:

"refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=910684-0001&PA=373139"

... heh, that was tricky to get right since Vbullentin translates them too, even when surrounded with [CODE] (lame)
