When are you guys switching to something else? It really, really is very, very bad...

Yes, I am. :) I came on board in early December, and work directly with Jill.

We have something amazing on the way....soon. :winkwink:

In the meantime, if I can look up anything for you, or do anything else, please let me know!

Totally agree, I question the same.

Fiddler 02-01-2013 01:11 AM

Are stats actually not working for people? I'm in CCBill everyday it all works... well eventually, it's just a bit slow to pull up results.

It works slowly if you fire up IE.

Prefer querying the Epoch API and have the data presented how we want it.

We've built some amazing tools using the Epoch API.

2013 02-01-2013 01:17 AM

ccbill aint oging to do nothin

epitome 02-01-2013 01:23 AM

The next thing I am going to have done is integrating the Epoch API into Kayako so that when someone opens a ticket it searches for their record and presents it in the customer info screen. From there will have one click retention, billing extensions and cancellations.

SpeedoDave 02-01-2013 07:27 AM

I've given up using their stats - I've complained and all I get told is to use another browser - WTF?

CCBill works fine if you don't make sales and there is no data to pull. Otherwise it goes like like this: Slow stats. Waiting... No stats. Browser freeze. F4. Reboot.

I still love the consistant payouts every week.

I don't want to put any pressure on you guys, but please define 'soon'...

i think in this case soon means, never going to happen.

i dont use ccbill because their stats sucks so bad you cant tell where your sales come from. only morons advertise without knowing where their sales come from. or people who don't make sales at all.

rowan 02-01-2013 07:36 PM

Where's the ccbill rep saying that they can't see any problems and to email them directly for further discussion?

mechanicvirus 02-01-2013 09:07 PM

Heres my question, if the hun posted this in 2007, would it have gotten more traction?

The Hun 02-01-2013 09:15 PM

Nah, I asked them in 2007!!

The Hun 02-01-2013 09:16 PM

Or was that 2005... can't remember... too long ago!

mechanicvirus 02-01-2013 09:17 PM

So you asked them for the past 10 years, basically being one of the biggest affiliate websites to ever exist, and they have never straight forward acknowledged you about it?

The Hun 02-01-2013 09:24 PM

They're stuck even firmer in the past that I am... ehh... was... ehh... whatever

Ya i'm surprised they dont even care to post those replies anymore.

I think ccbill reps are required to not post on GFY anymore on anything that is showing ccbill negatively. :disgust

extreme 02-02-2013 09:29 AM

I don't get ccbill. They must have tons of cash to throw at this problem. Why not get in touch with a serious webshop and get a modern, responsive html5 design and a new high-iperforming backend. Sure they got a _lot_ of data but this problem is solvable.

The Porn Nerd 02-02-2013 09:56 AM

There's a wonderful song by the band Yes, from their album Tales From Topographic Oceans, called "Soon".

Or was that song on the album Relayer?

Anyway, I hope this was helpful. :D

Truth is they don't care. This has been a problem for years. Those that care have left the building.

I would say that is probably a good policy. Especially considering the volume of trolls on witch hunts, and crying over petty ante things they can't control. Over the past few years, you have seen a lot of formerly active companies stop posting to the GFY mobs any longer.

At the porn conferences, a lot of companies have actually admitted to taking this position (no longer posting on GFY).

Konda 02-02-2013 10:11 AM

IBILL's stats interface in 1998 was better than CCBILL's is today...

I don't get it, it's all database driven, why not just make a new simple and easy to use stats interface. Shouldn't take a single programer more than a couple of months.

Okay...I'm gonna guess that nobody from CC Bill is gonna post in this thread. lol

But hey...if you go to the Phoenix Forum they have "snack shacks" :)

Ya good point, but, this a postworthy topic. I mean, ccbill stats not loading for an entire year, this is a BIG BIG BIG deal.

rowan 02-03-2013 10:07 PM

"Request sent. Waiting for server response..."

I tried to look up one day - 24 hours worth - of sales on affiliateadmin.ccbill.com, and this is as far as I got.

It's really frustrating that ccbill continue to use this antiquated and broken stats system.

Always slow, but does load stats. well, for the most part :upsidedow

johnnyloadproductions 02-04-2013 12:49 AM

I'm sure their overhaul will cost millions of dollars considering all the data they house.

Consider all the flaky traffic now and all the remote applications demanding stats all the time. Their system is probably really taxed out and there isn't much they can do until they get a better backend server software architecture.

Cheers for that... never seen that interface before, it's like a dolled up version of affiliateadmin.ccbill.com. Unfortunately it seems to suffer the same problem:

Request sent. Waiting for server response...

(gave up after just over 4 minutes of waiting.)

Nope... great thing about programming and databases is that it makes no difference if you need to write it for one database entry or 50.0000 a day. The programming stays the same.

And while they're programming, it would be great if they could build a system where they rotate programs for you, depending on the traffic, targeted to the audience you send them. It's not hard to program something like that. And everybody would benefit... Ah well...
