    Randy Quaid can?t stay in Canada



    ? The bizarre odyssey of Randy Quaid seems destined to take another turn, now that Canadian officials have denied the movie star?s request for permanent residence, the Associated Press and CBC News reported this weekend. The character actor ? a former Oscar nominee and the brother of Dennis Quaid ? has been sort of on the run since 2010, when he and wife Evi skipped a court hearing for vandalizing their former home in Santa Barbara, Calif. They skipped across the border and sought asylum ? claiming they needed protection from ?Hollywood star whackers? who they said had killed David Carradine and Heath Ledger. She can stay, since her father?s Canadian birth gives her citizenship rights, but no luck for him. The feds earlier declined to seek extradition for the couple, but California officials say they?ll still face prosecution if they come back to the states
