not much, maybe 5-6k depending on extras... the ford gt40 is a nice car however I've read not much fun to drive long distance, like the viper. and know one seems to mind comparing a 100K vette against a $350K car??

I've never had a ford although there are a few fords that are very nice cars for sure. hooked up with ally bank so I just keep getting gm stuff

you don't realize that chevrolet built the vette to compete/compare with that $350k car? they did not build it to compare/compete with the mustang.

you talk like that is secret info, let's not forget there's about 18 bazillion corvettes on the road.

again, chevy markets the vette against those 350k supercars, not the mustang. this comparison is just another example that car sites/mags such as this are there to sell themselves, not provide any real data. it's emotion that sells these cars.

There is a in-between. I thought about getting a Vette or a Porsche, Difference comes down to saying I own a Chevy, or Porsche. The worst thing about the Corvette is that it's a Chevy

Being a Chevy is the only thing that holds me back.

that is the main issue with a vette for sure... we have all wished vette would go to caddilac... no such luck... I always got my vette serviced at the Cadillac dealer

best you can do is select a chevy dealer with lots of vette experience and friendliness...
I've never wanted a porche for some reason... they look crappy to me...

I have corvette, camaro and a mustang. Just got rid of two and bought a charger. The only reason I kept the mustang was it had a trunk for my golf clubs. Otherwise it would have been long gone ha

Trade whatever Mercedes you have in for an AMG. I have an E55 and blow the doors off Corvettes all the time. Handling is much less of a factor IMO, you'd have to be stupid to race someone around a corner on the street. Racing from a light on the other hand is what will be happening all the time.
