Here in Rochester our police chief just tried to bury a story which had to college kids holding off home invaders with an AR15 and 9mm both legally owned by the students.
He was has been quite vocal in his support of the new NY gun laws the push through in a hurry a few weeks back.

Not at all. I have my opinions and thoughts, and here on GFY I love to debate - mostly because people here are sheep. If you don't want to debate, then don't bring your verbal vomit to a message board.
The gun nuts are the best. They read something on some gun website, beat off, and then come here and repeat it as if it's fact. They don't seem to understand the fact that the source is slanted.
I just believe in common sense. It's more difficult to get a driver's license than it is to purchase a firearm. If you can't see the lack of wisdom in this then you aren't too bright.

Once again, what people who buy into the NRA (aka the gun manufacturers) line fail to miss...
The gun control measures currently being proposed are: re-instate the assault weapons ban, limit the capacity of magazines, and background checks to filter out people with a history of violence and/or mental problems.
None of these things = Count Chocula wants to take away all your guns. And please don't start on the executive orders...they were all weak sauce. No gun grabbing there.
What the hell is wrong with that??
FFS, even a majority of NRA members are in favor of these common sense regulations. I've said it before - the leadership of the NRA doesn't give a shit about the will of their own members. They take their marching orders from their paymasters, the gun manufacturers.
