If the site is a mainstream site that no-one here is going to promote then your attitude here doesn't count.. I assumed you were doing a some sort of joke affiliate thing that you may have eventually promoted here.. not an adult site as it would be a very poor name for one :)
I think your weekend deadline is an arbitrary one and there is no external need for you to have it done by then which is why you don't see it as a risk and keep on calling it "risk free"..

No ones doubting you can't get a really nice design from a newbie or someone trying to crack the industry.. or someone bored and on a whim, good people often give out such offers for their portfolios. The main question is relying on a string of these people for your work (as no-one is going to work like that for a serious amount of time).
