it is fun to drive, I think I am getting old because I drove it and the charger and ending up buying a new charger. They both drive great but the charger just has so much room all over. I have not been impressed with the material feel of these vehicles. If I were to buy a budget sports car, I'd go with the 2013 Porsche Cayman S. Really the best bang for the buck, and Porsche materials and craftsmanship. The difference is night and day.

Nah, Camaros kick chargers to the curb. And I'm going to prove it at this summer's Qwebec Expo when I challenge ASACP TIM to a race. One of us will walk away as a real man, and the other will crawl away as a girlie man. Mark vs Tim. 2Much vs ASACP. It will be an illegal street race (probably on or near 32 avenue in Lachine, Montreal). All proceeds go to asacp.

I drove Mustangs for way too long. I was blind to other cars. My last Mustang was laser red, super charged, 0-60 in 4 seconds. Awesome. For some reason two years ago I just sold it and tried something new. Much to my surprise, my daily driver ended up being a beat up on Chevy Stepside truck - so unlike me. But I'm looking for my next project. I want to buy and fix up cars that I always wanted as a kid - Trans Am, maybe a Porshe 928.

Joking aside, there's a number of reasons why I would never buy a 928, or any old vehicle for that matter. Yes, I wanted one too. I think they're beautifully designed vehicles. But the problem with bleeding edge performance and technology is that it tends to not stand the test of time. Most of the 928's that were parked outside for extended periods now have cracked dashes, leather seats are cracked too.
Oil leaks on those old Porsches are super common and insanely expensive to fix. Generally speaking, they're too expensive to own for what they give you.
And they're not exactly fast compared to today's vehicles.
Have you seen the new Porsche 991? Now that's something I'd love to own.Comment

The picture I posted is of a 2SS with the 1LE package (performance extras, black hood).
The ZL1, not ZR1, is the one I'm looking at (you'r right). It has the super charger with scoop-like things on the hood, and a different beak.Comment

I have had ten that I can remember, first car was an 81, then 91 and then a new 95 and a bunch after that, one only lasted a day because I was hit on the way home from buying it and that car was done LOL only had about 200 miles on it
