I use less. That's only because some projects that I've implemented have used it. No experience with sass.

If you use Twitter Bootstrap then use LESS, anything else use SASS.

Zurb is a good alternative to Bootstrap.

This [bootstrap] is the main reason why I'm using less. At some point I need to sit down and take a closer look as sass. Just from doing a little google fu earlier when this thread popped up, sass looks superior at first glance.

I wouldn't say one is better than the other. They basically do the same thing.

However SASS with Compass, Suzy and Bourbon is better.
