Used to work with a marine years ago that had enough shit at his house to take out a few towns, guns, grenades etc... Personally though I never shot anything besides a BB gun

As far as I know my mom has never shot a gun. She hates them. The thought that my brother and I now both own them is something she really doesn't like even though she knows we have them for a good reason and use them for that reason.Comment

I grew up around guns. At an early age I learned gun safety from my Dad, who was an occasional deer hunter (and an avid sports fisherman), however I only shot at targets and skeet when I was a kid, and then I also shot guns during my 6 years in the military (although only at targets, I was never in combat).
I haven't fired a gun since I left the military, and probably never will ever again...

I was in the military, so yes I shot all types of weapons including a Pershing Missile launch.
Fortunately, it had a dummy warhead and we fired it in Utah, not towards Moscow.You might not be as anonymous as you think you are.Comment

.22 rifle when I was 11 years old.
Shot a few hand guns and a tech 9 when I was in my twenties.

Only girls maybe. In my country every man must shoot a gun (at least in army). Personally I was regularly shooting a gun since I was 10 year old (2-3 times a week during 3 years) because it was a part of my sport training (modern pentathlon). After that I was shooting in army and ranges.

Twice a year me and my father load a pickup truck worth of guns and ammo and go target shooting to our wooded property in VA. I've been around handguns and long guns all my life and always enjoy the getaway trip. No military style stuff, .22s .38s 9mm, .45s and the like with the handguns and lots of .22 30-30, 410, 12g & 20g stuff on the long guns. No gun nut here, but I have much appreciation for them. I personally think most everyone should know how to handle some sort of firearm.
