its looks like kind of a cross section of the biz....toys, distribution, press, legal, billing, niche markets...looks like they picked whom they considered to be the most influential in each area I know I got an email from them a while back asking me who i thought the most powerfull people in porn are... I named fabian, larry flynt Ron Cadwell and others that didnt make the list

In all likelihood, someone was like "let's talk about porn to drive traffic to the site" and then they threw together some half-assed list by copying from other sites like Gawker.

It's not something anyone put any time or effort into.

I'm sure the Mike South blog gets plenty of traffic ... and I certainly enjoy reading it myself ... but to equate that to power ... nah.

Happy hell when they asked me a month ago who i thought the ten most powerful people in porn were fabian was near the top of my list, as was Larry flynt, derek hay, ron cadwell, and others I even named Theo I did not name me but in retrospect I can see it they chose someone from the adult press arena so the pickings were pretty slim....when you consider avn and xbiz are primarily people who run press releases who does that leave? Gene Ross and his clipped articles? lukeisback? not much competition.

I am honored though seriously. It is nice to have some of my efforts recognized by a mainstream news org

You may consider it foolishly impractical but I dont think the people behind pwl would agree with you anymore. I told Donny Long Id get PWL down and I told Fabian I'd live to see him led away in handcuffs

Right? I've been watching how many women are taking their places in high positions in adult companies and it is an increasingly strong group. They aren't just the small companies either. Fast forward a decade or so and I predict several of the powerhouse names of now are run with a woman at the top.

Of course by the awards nominations this year you would barely think their are any black people of any gender in porn either.
