This Aaron Swartz was an idiot. He could have devoted his efforts to finding ways to get free medicine for children, free education or something that benefits the most beaten down of society. Instead he decided to champion finding legal loop holes so he could download movies and music. The central source is more scary than random events. I personally don't believe we'll ever manage to get rid of them and their social engineering, however growing awareness is a thorn in their side, which is exactly why Aaron was targeted; they want complete control of the Internet and the information which is available to the masses.
