just made some great pineapple BBQ sauce

browned some onion and fresh pineapple in chopped bacon, tossed in some cumin, chill powder, smoked salt, black pepper, garlic powder, apple/cranberry juice and tomato paste, and a few caps of liquid smoke... brown sugar, maple/vanilla syrup. let the stuff simmer for about 30 min then hit it with the Cuisinart...

    Good Lord that sounds delicious.

What are you going to put it on? Sounds great for pork.

Hard Rock used to make their ribs with Watermelon BBQ sauce. That was the best I'd ever had.

              Pineapple sounds good too.

I never really measure stuff because I've been cooking so long...

                1/2 chopped onion
                1/4 chopped pineapple
2 slices bacon with some fat cut off

                browned up till tender

                ------
                1/4 cup syrup
                1/4 brown sugar
                small can tomato paste
                1 cup apple juice
                3 caps liquid smoke
                Tb chilli powder
                tb smoked salt
                tb garlic powder
                tb cumin
dash hot ass chilli powder ( I have some bad ass stuff)

reduce 30 min... blend with the Cuisinart.. I have the one that is a handle with the blade on the end... this all sound about right?

be very careful with this stuff

any fruit will do... cherries, blue berries, peaches etc... watermelon might be a bit tricky due to the water content... maybe cut the aj down

yeah my first idea was to try to reduce the juice to make a concentrate and work from there
