This takes major balls...branding/music kinda privacy

(Make that Piracy)

Music is a major ass rip off of U2 and IBM also know as big blue had a mainframe the 360 many of us old farts worked on. Look at the background theme colors and style and dyslexic IBM name in the video played against a U2 rip off theme song.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=3GJ7jvC71wA

Am I just looking too deep are is this a clever or not so clever rip off?

It's only a ripoff if it IS U2 (and I'm sure at that point IBM would have the funds to license), and this just sounds like it could be. It could be a Garageband default loop for all I know.

This isn't something either party would be concerned with.

Wile not an exact copy, the music does confuse you with the "original" same as the theming and branding of this company.

Not blatant piracy, but surely riding on the coattails of other creative forces and branding efforts...

I actually didn't realize it wasn't IBM. Maybe you're right.

The target audience for the ad will recognise Autodesk and not even think of IBM.

Just realised AutoCAD is 30 years old now
