there are quite a few shootings every day in America. If were just going to scan the news and list "shootings" every day.. there will be plenty. There always has been plenty. There will always be plenty.

Even when things are "going good", there will always be shootings. Just like there is always stabbings in the UK.

People should be allowed to be armed, but perhaps there should be stricter regulations in place to filter out the whackos.

You're right, the problem is the people. Tools which which increase the efficiency of killing have nothing to do with the equation. Because of the fact that the weapon has NOTHING to do with the ease in which people are killed, we technically should be outfitting every one of us with a BIG RED BUTTON.

No, actually... that's the reason we do NOT all have a big red button. It's the reason we disarm our neighbors with BIG RED BUTTONS. Because we know people can get batshit crazy at times... and people should not be trusted.

On a large scale (countries) or small scale (individuals) the rationale is exactly the same.

crazy people used to be locked up but this was seen as inhumane so the stopped and while the majority of these people are harmless, there are some who are quite dangerous. you never know if just walking down the street you'll get shanked for no reason because some crazy guy sees horns coming out of your head.

We have a lot more people and a lot more guns, yet gun deaths are on the decrease.

We also had more people die from other things today, than shootings..
