No it isn't. WordPress is not just a blogging since version 2.00 or so. It is a very powerful universal CMS and Google knows that.

And course the structure of WordPress-powered tube is very different to a WordPress-powered blog, pinboard, message board, Q&A site, online store, corporative site, electronic magazine, online gaming site, movie/book catalog, word dictionary or anything else that can be build with WordPress.

Also don't forget that Google extracts videos from WordPress-powered tubes without problems and lists them here: http://www.google.com/videohp?hl=en which is a very good traffic source too after the classic text search :2 cents:

It just kind of exploded one day.

But basically, I was accurate in describing the scene, picked decent sponsors and have everything organized.

I don't even do any linking.

iwaxoff 02-01-2013 04:22 AM

on my main blogs that are regularly updated i use a mix of small gallery posts with 1 or 2 lines of text, video post with 1 or 2 lines and a regular 150 word posts, se traffic isn't treating me that bad.

The main slogan of Google now sounds like: "make sites for real people". The one who gets it right, knows how to make good self-populating sites which will be ok with Google.

In the post-Panda era Google does not care too much about your content (how big your articles are, how many keywords there etc). The most important factor is your visitors' behavior. If they (the visitors) love your site (bounce rate, on site time, depth of browsing, % of bookmarkers, etc), then Google will automatically consider it "as made for real people" and course it won't remove it from the SERP's.

Thus the most important thing is to make the surfers stay at your site longer and come back again and again.

Just a year ago it was a common practice to order a bunch of "unique" but boring and useless articles from 3rd-world copywriters and post them to a poor-looking blog with some boring or even default design. Now this won't fly because such sort of site will have an off-scale bounce rate, and site will be automatically penalized by Google as a low quality one.

On the other hand, a well-designed self-populating site which syndicates quality and properly sorted content such as images (there are tons of legal sources), videos (even from popular tubes, sponsored XML feeds and other resources that allow embedding), online games etc will catch the surfers for a long time. And nobody will care if your content is "unique" or not. If the visitors love your site then it "made for the real people". Yes, it is that simple!

P.P.S. Adapt or die :pimp

And most surfers are looking for free full length unlimited porn, so by the above rationale people without that are penalized by google

Free high quality full-length content can be find on torrents only. Because tube videos are low quality, file lockers are not free. Not every surfer knows how to use torrents. On the other hand, many of them know it's dangerous to download anything copyrighted via torrents, because in this case they are being involved in illegal content distribution and their IP's get exposed to anyone.

lately, i don't see blogs in the top SERPS

just a punk 02-01-2013 06:56 AM

Yes, all classic text blogs are gone. Сonclusion: transform your blogs into tubes, pinboards and image galleries.

Tumblr blogs can still rank well. Many of them are not text based at all.

Make Tumblr blogs and host the images on your own blogs. Reblogging is also a great alternative to link trading, since it's more of a social signal. If the porn free hosts had some reblog-type functionality, it might breathe new life back into them.

A word press tube would probably rock then.

I know you are some wordpress plugin maker extraordinaire. But the reality is. The structure, as in 'Permalinks' is the same no matter what you design on the site because of the fact of what you said, its a universal CMS, not a blog. So what you said basically backtrack of you original statement. Your videos get listed weather its a blog style site or a tube style site. It is still just a post, with a Title & Body in wordpress CMS.

Screw link trading. Seriously, NO outbound links. Build something that you can spam on social networks. Google is garbage.

And do google considers diferent site types, for instance X% bounce rate would be perfect for blog, but just normal for tube and so on.

your bounce rate needs to be better than the sites you are competing with for that specific serp. different keywords require different bounce rates.

Well said. That's just the way things have been going for a while now. People want instant gratification and reading a wall of text doesn't appeal to anyone.
