Pilot Catches Thief at His Home During Fly-By

And he was caught with a loaded rifle. Responsible gun owner. He needed to defend himself during the commissioning of a robbery.

You are overlooking the real problem. CRIMINALS with guns. Guy was arrested for grand theft while in possession of a loaded gun and he's back on the streets after posting $2,500 bail. And people wonder why there's so much crime being committed.

I think we could pull a few pages from the law books of Singapore.

Oh please. You can be damn well certain that if he used that rifle on the guy who's house he was robbing, he would say it was in self defense that he pulled the trigger.

That's exactly what he would have said, and that's exactly why he would have pulled the trigger... because he's been trained to up the ante in EVERY situation and push people around with threats, brandishing his weapons... and when someone else tells him to fuck off, he kills them... because now he feels he has the upper hand, and he has the right to.

He's got the big pea-shooter penis-extension that empowers him to feel like a real man.

That is 100% the reason why people like him carry around and brandish weapons like that.

What? I hardly think he could claim self defense while committing a felony on someones else's property. Also he's NOT a responsible gun owner like you stated but a criminal. And as a homeowner I sure would like to have a gun in my hand when an armed robber pulls into my driveway.

You and I can agree on that. But when was the last time you ever heard of someone describing themselves as an irresponsible gun owner?

Never.

To him, he's a very responsible gun owner. And to him, he's got the right to defend himself. Every criminal wants to defend themselves from someone they perceive as being a threat to their safety... EVEN when it comes to THEM committing the crime.

What you really should be worried about is all the idiots walking around with legal guns. All responsible gun owners ofcourse. Who all have guns for self protection ofcourse.

You still don't get it, do you?

How about we save lives somewhere else for a minute. Not one damn person needs to text while they are driving yet I will stand a better chance of getting run over than shot. How about we outlaw texting. Texting wasn't even popular till recently I'm sure no ones quality of life will be adversely affected by a complete ban.

If something this simple isn't even being discussed as a way to prevent unnecessary deaths then the whole gun issue has been blown out of proportion for reasons other than saving lives.

Texting in your car isn't allowed in Holland. Actually holding your phone at all is not allowed. Which is a very good thing.
But, we were talking about guns. Start another thread about texting if you want.

I think of you bring a loaded gun to another major felony...like breaking into a house etc. It should add an extra five or ten years to the sentence.

This is currently the way it's done in California. It's called an "enhancement".

This is what I've been saying all along..

If we start hitting people hard as hell with mandatory sentences for committing a crime while in position of a gun/knife then you will see gun violence drop drastically.

The simple fact is it's a very small percentage of people that are involved with the bulk of gun related crime. Start weeding out those criminals that use guns while committing a crime and we start to see a drastic reduction in gun related deaths.

In a case like this the guy should get mandatory 5 year sentence with no parole. He must serve the 5 years and then an additional 5 years probation where he can own no firearms. If caught with fire arms in that 5 years then he goes to jail again for 5 years.

Add violence to the mix then it should be min of 10 to 15. Kill someone then it's life no parole.

We need to get non violent drug related lighter sentences with required drug rehab as part of their parole and clean out the prisons of needless inmates that can be rehabilitated and then start sticking it hard to violent & gun related criminals.
