You cant use hosts file to redirect to another url, only to use different ip.For example,if i put 127.0.0.1 gfy.com ,then i will see content of my local server(if i have it installed)instead gfy.com.But you could add redirect on site which shows when typing 127.0.0.1 by using htaccess/php/metatag.
