Sometimes I'm wandering around and I think.. OMG I'm gonna die.

But ya know... I don't want to die....

I've got a lot of stuff to do yet that I haven't done.

It bugs me to know that I'm dying.

Talking about the fact that were all going to die (relatively soon) seems like this taboo thing in our society that we tend to ignore.

It's interesting to think that governments will go through loads of trouble to make sure that were blissfully ignorant about various things in order to prevent panic and chaos, yet, we all already know were going to die anyway & seem to deal with that little bit of info quite well.

So like who cares if your going to be taken out by asteroids or hemorrhoids, the bottom line is....

OMFG were all gonna die!!!

Yes, but after that moment passes, you probably won't care anymore about much of anything.

A moment really isn't a long time to have regrets. I've had some for much longer.

I'd worry more about there being an afterlife than not. Because if we're all compost, then we won't know that we're compost so it won't matter.

Death sucks, i thought we'd be alot further along in extending life but we're in a rut. Cancer is claiming more lives all the time, and more young people are getting it. Victories are small, of course not if you happen to be a person who gets a cancer that is now pretty treatable like kids with leukemia. But most are just as hopeless as they were in our grandparents day.

I've been around dying people who are close to me, I don't think the regrets thing is a big deal for people, it doesn't matter whether you've lived a fantastic life and done most of the things you wanted to do or you've had a miserable life - neither kinds of people want to die. Supposedly there are stages one goes through when facing death, the final one is acceptance - many people don't reach that stage.

Quick painless death is what any human should hope for, tho when i read about people who just go to sleep one night fine and die in the middle of their sleep it freaks me out - like maybe it would be nice to have a little warning to say goodbyes or just contemplate it.

As far as I know we humans are the only species who are burdened with the reality of our limited existence. Some animals definitely know they are dying and many go off to die alone but they can't go through the mental stuff we do.
