    Are Chromebooks any good?

    Got a Chromebook for Xmas. Any opinions on 'em? I've always had Macs, and I'm not familiar with the Chrome OS. Does it suck?

              I thought about getting one a little while back when I got a new laptop. A friend of mine has one and likes it, but they basically use it for Facebook, email and surfing. I needed something I could do more with. I run office and other programs which made me feel like the Chromebook would limit me.

              If you just plan to use it for online stuff it will likely work really well for you.

                  I'm considering the $250 1.7 mhz Chromebook.

                  I like the idea that its super light and gets 6.5 hours of use.

                  I can pick it up and just go... and not have to worry about a charger or other accessories like my full laptop.

                                      I'm going back to school, and the giver assumed a laptop-style device would work better for taking notes on a desk. Plus, iPads are more money. But I thought the same thing.
