But i think personnally that this kind of logic is more a logic of feeble people. Rulers don't really to copy irrevelant stuffs to reach their idols.
If you are powerful enough to control the society and make VERY nasty stuffs, you don't need to seek for symbolic stuffs, if you don't think it's important (or fun) to do it.

Also realize that's is basically very easy to copy symbolism, it's irrevelant as signature.

Make something dysfonctionnal and protect it.
When something happens or when there is something to do, stop to protect what is going wrong and wonder why it happens and claim: "there is something to change in our society".

But Adam Lanza was found dead in the school with only handguns - a rifle was found in the trunk of his car. But then he could not possibly have been firing the rifle, and could not have committed the murders. Who did?

Not sure on this one. I would like to hear the explanation. However has any of the dozens of investigators in the building questioned this on FOX news? Point being the problem with conspiracy theories is EVERYONE needs to be involved or else there is money to be made to tell the truth.
