Any book readers here ?! Looking for steampunk book recommendations!

Avid reader of fantasy stuff but i find that i want to give steampunk a try but as i have ZERO clue about what the heck is good in that niche i would love some recommendations so i dont end up spending time reading total shit..

which books should i give a go and which should i just leave on the shelf for some other sucker to buy ?!
Daddy Strokes - mature men stroking their meat
Mature Gay Movies - mature men fucking everyone!
Pleasing Daddy - young girls fucking mature men

Looking for submitter accounts for older men niche content (both gay and straight) so hit me up if you run a tube and offer submitter accounts for paysites.

Any of Cherie Priest's books: http://www.amazon.com/Cherie-Priest/e/B001IOFIHM

Some of China Mieville's books border on Steampunk i.e. Perdido St. Station: http://www.amazon.com/China-Mi%C3%A9ville/e/B001IQUN20

Jeff Somers Avery Cates series is a mix of steampunk / scifi / post apocalyptic tech integration, not so much steam but I know a lot of steampunk friends love the series and so do I: http://www.amazon.com/Jeff-Somers/e/B001IODGWQ

Steampunk SF is actually a fairly short list - steampunk caught on more in graphic novels and television and anime.

A lot of people credit "The Difference Engine" by Gibson and Sterling as the original steampunk novel. It's okay, not great.

For a good novel with victorian and steampunk elements it's very hard to beat Stephenson's "the Diamond Age". The Barouque Cycle books are steampunky-ish. Anathem has some oddly steampunkyish qualities.

"Steamboy", the anime, is probably the classic example of steampunk imagery and plotlines.

Steampunk caught on as an art form because it's snarky and easy to make, easy to build video props and costumery for screen production.
