I know it's unlikely you've ever made it far out of Kansas, but for many of us that do not live close to home it is a nice opportunity to take an extended vacation to spend time with family who will also not be working.

Now, I did not address that aspect of it and yes, I have been out of both the Show Me State and Kansas, so don't get too riled.

I am concerned only with the bogus and superstitious aspects of the so-called holiday.

20 km to do to see my family (that i see anyway every week) so...

I only work on holidays and weekends, and take the rest of the year off.
