    Police Sell Confiscated Guns

Law Enforcement Protection Program has been in effect since 1998. The proceeds from these sales of confiscated firearms have been instrumental in equipping Kentucky law enforcement personnel with personal body armor and other equipment which enabled officers to better serve the citizens of Kentucky

Sounds like a good way for the local pigs to make money off of the criminals. They've been confiscating and selling off cars and houses and what not for ages. Makes sense.

No shit. I had a gun confiscated and was pissed to hear they were going to dump it in the ocean. I even told the judge she should reconsider.

In LA city, the guns they confiscate have all the parts taken off the receivers. The receivers are destroyed and all the other parts are sold to GunPartsCorp

My local police department sells all of their guns to a local gun shop then uses the money for some kind of community programs. It is a small town so they don't get many, but they recently sold 3 or 4 guns and made about $600 on them. They used the money to build some swings and toy stuff for kids to play on in our big park.

FYI, keeping your posts to 2-3 lines is a good idea since that's probably everyones attention span with that sig.

I hate the way stuff that is confiscated gets destroyed. They crush perfectly good cars here if they catch someone not paying for their tax disc and it seems such a waste.
