yes its based on a true story - i saw the biography on him. he works as an "anti fraud" person for certain companies now (like how companys hire former hackers to protect their systems).

I saw Spielberg, the director or was it producer, interviewed on TV while I was in the States. He said they could not include half what he got away with as people would not believe it.
