Un-friended on Facebook over religious conversation [screencap]
So over the last year or so this guy has been getting more and more Republican to the extent that it's taking on some extremist tones that seem rather unstable, not very well thought out, and frankly pure nonsense. Last night he posted this cartoon about the "War on Christmas"... Anyway, I shared my thoughts with him because he opened the dialogue.
This morning I noticed he unfriended me. LOL Oh well, I never wanted to be friends with religious zealots anyway. I've never understood where people like this are coming from... and frankly it creeps me out.
Do these people honestly not know what their own fucking religion is all about? And if they really are that ignorant about it, then how do they consider themselves "believers"?
And while we're on this subject... Have you ever heard of Pat Condell? He's basically a de-facto Atheist Extraordinaire, and is incredibly well spoken and amazingly articulate. I just found this video and I really like the way he put it together.:
He seems like he'd be an interesting guy to have a few drinks with.
