He was released today, had to spend 48 days in jail while everybody was deciding whether McDonald's employees have the right to defend themselves, obviously couldn't afford to post bond or wouldn't be working at McDonalds in the first place.

I 100% agree with defending himself. But I do think that he took it to far. At least for what the video shows. But there is a whole other level of things we could not see going on below that counter. They could have continued to kick him etc. At the same time, he could have walked away.

OK lets see you charge over the counter at a guy and put him in fight mode and he goes into a rage defending himself, then expect him to make calculated moves that are exactly proportional to the threat and do not exceed the necessary level of violence to neutralize the threat? As has been said the guy was in fight mode, but also he was a murderer anyway, he had already served a decade in jail for murdering a classmate back in 2000; the girls definitely messed with the wrong person.

MCD here used to have bruise crews, they drafted them into places at bank holidays where there is known trouble. Knew a guy that was "moved" around , reckoned he used to keep his burger flipper edge nice and sharp by grating it on the floor tiles. They used to practice counter jumping to bring it to the customer.
