i'm 5'9", 230 and 19% body fat. I've went up to 270, i've been down to 175. I never once thought about being offended if someone said "dude, you're getting fat". I took it for what it was, cut back on my calories and got on the treadmill and started running and start changing up my workouts.

The USA is the fattest nation on the planet and preventable disease has crippled the entire healthcare system. You'll never see me saying "hey man, you're morbidly obese, but its ok, thats just your personal choice". It's a personal choice to be obese and people should accept the consequences of their choices, particularly when they affect everyone else as well.

We need to stop the shit.

We need to stop telling everyone they're perfect just how they are.

We need to stop giving out participation trophies and telling kids they're special.

We need to stop heading down this path of churning out narcissistic, self centered assholes and start telling people like it is.

And here's some food for thought on the idea of not hurting feelings.

Who excelled as a group more after high school?

The fat kids, the nerds, the social retards or the popular/cool kids?

The people who were least popular and had the lowest self esteem worked harder. The kids who were the star athletes, fucking the cheerleaders all peaked in high school... because all they knew was how awesome they are and then got out into a world they weren't prepared to deal with.

No one changes themselves until they want to change. All that however, has nothing to do with the individuals choice to be morbidly obese and unhealthy. At some point, an adult is supposed to act like an adult and take responsibility for their actions and decisions.

It shouldn't be a crime to say "you're fat" - when its a blatantly obvious fact. Tom Cruise is short. I seriously doubt he runs away and cries every time someone says "wow, i thought you'd be taller". No one has the power to hurt you unless you give them that power.

You want to know how many fat people get picked on for sincerely trying to lose weight in a gym? ~0-ish.

How many obese people get picked on in a restaurant after downing 3000 calories in a single sitting each day? probably quite a few.

Being obese is a choice.
Part of the consequence of that choice is being unhealthy and being looked at by society as an unhealthy, gluttonous person.

We shouldn't be looking at society and sending they message "hey man, be very careful not to let the morbidly obese women know she's morbidly obese"

:2 cents:

You don't *need* to let the morbidly obese woman she is obese. You think she isn't aware? And it's your 'job' somehow to 'save' her from a sad life of obesity? l o f l. Too many people spend way too much time worrying about other people, and in many cases those are people they don't know, or ever will. Wtf do you care whether someone is obese, a smoker, skinny, or whatever. And just wtf has it got to do with 'society' if a person *is* unhealthy and gluttonous?

I never said what they did was okay anywhere in my post, so Im not sure where youre gathering that from. All im saying is people who are obese like that and are a drain on our society and health care systems. You cant ask someone like that to get healthy and workout, they need to be forced either by the health care system or the gov't which is practically the same entity at this point. IMO free will stops once it starts effecting our country as a whole. OUR COUNTRY OPENLY GETS MADE FUN OF FOR OBESITY :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Just sayin'.

Triple-A 12-12-2012 07:53 AM

They know they're fat, they're not going to do anything about it, like most fat people who ate themselves into their ludicrous weights... quit whining girls, truth hurts. Have another rack of lamb and move on...

I cant get over the comments on this,, you all that make fun of this should be a shame of yourselves. Very very sad.

The waiter was a jerk and was rightfully fired. That's called discrimination, it starts with fat people and we all laugh but what happens when it is against gays and blacks and so on?
Discrimination is wrong, plain and simple. :2 cents:

Its not discrimination its labeling. He didnt not serve them because they were fat, he simply labeled them as fat. If I labeled your table montreal guy would that be discrimination?

I still think that is discrimination, so they are fat? So what, it's nobody's business. If it was a table of loud and rude obnoxious idiots and the waiter had labelled them as such, I would have no issue with it. But when people are labeled fat, then it is the beginning of a slippery road to no where good!

xNetworx 12-12-2012 12:01 PM

This would have been epic if it happened at Fatburger

I wonder if the restaurant sales are down or up since this.

Waiter is obviously an idiot, he will get another waiter job down the road at the other stuff your mouth trough restaurant.
These three will complain about being overweight, yet do nothing about it.

Someone should make a site to educate them and get the motivated to work out and be fit.

Who could that be?

As far as I am concerned, the story is over. The idiot waiter got fired and that should be it. Now the ambulance chaser lawyer will be have a field day.

It's called a joke, hence the wink face at the end :thumbsup. All about portion control.

These chicks are looking for a payday.. Funny how they imply that had the restaurant comped the meal, things would have been fine. That said, if I were the manager, I'd have comped the meal -- Less hassle!

flashfire 12-12-2012 03:42 PM

thats terrible

they're fat. I blew out my knee & need surgery. At this moment, I'm fat. I don't give shit. Facts are facts. As soon as im better I'll be back on the treadmill. The truth is this is a case of them being in denial until BAM, it's in writing.

He could have avoided all of this by comping them the $25 meal. He should probably be fired, too.

I called my ex-gf a fat ass bitch. I know... I'm a mean asshole but I was 17 and stupid.

She worked out and lost the weight soon after that. She even fucked my good friend too, good for her.

Fast forward 20+ years... she's thanked me a few times for saying that :thumbsup

Well said. that is the problem with America....we would rather have everybody be PC about obesity than do anything about the problem. I like what they do in Japan where some companies will fine you for being over weight because you are causing healthcare cost to go up. Or when I was in the AirForce if your body fat was above a certain level for so long you got kicked out. :2 cents:

This has nothing to do with how he treated them, it only has to do with the fact that he said they were fatties. They ARE fatties! They didn't say anything about getting bad service because they were fatties. He was just calling a spade a spade. If they are offended for being called fat maybe they should diet and exercise instead of crying about it.
