Considering he was loaned the money and often buys properties on a payment plan, Fabian probably isn't a good example of the "richest king." Having access to money that belongs to other people isn't a good gauge of wealth. It only means he has access to a lot of money. Hardly worthy of a role model or the extreme ass smooching so many fight in line to give him.

Perhaps you should look at someone like Larry Flynt, a real porn king. If anyone should ever wear the crown of "porn king" it should be him. Not someone who borrows, steals, and cheats his way to the front of the line. Fabian isn't fit to shine the crown that sits upon Larry's head, but you can bet your ass he'd have no problem trying to steal it or devalue it so he can buy it for pennies on the dollar.

There is a divide between guys who are just in it for the money and guys who love making porn and enjoy the lifestyle. The money only guys seem to be the ones who adore Fabian while the other group sees it for what it is and are often vocal about it.

To each his own, but I'll never understand the money only guys as there are so many other ways to make more money than in the porn business these days. it's fun to speculate where those 100 million dollar loans are coming from. is it really some Wall street hedge fund as I'm not sure they're into porn.

Does anyone remember the attorney Mark Dreier? He was ripping off those hedge funds years ago making fake accounts and showing he had the collateral from clients who weren't really his and that's how he built his New York law firm into one of the biggest until it came to make the payments. Funny enough I think he was arrested and found out while he went to Canada to beg for another credit line.

So where does the money come from? Wall street will have tightened up practices after Dreier and hedge funds aren't so 'loose' with lending to questionable projects like they were in 2008 which leads me to speculate it might be linked to the billions that HSBC were caught laundering into the USA on behalf of Mexican drug cartels, there are also large fines being handed out to Standard Chatered for sanctions busting on behalf of Iran and many other firms implicated.

Either way it's good that the German press and investigative journalists are looking into all this now. Hopefully they will find some answers

Common sense kinda dictates that IF Wall Street were suddenly going to be "okay" with funding porn....they would probably NOT go with some 30 year old German programmer who never ran a successful porn site EVER.

I cannot believe for one second Wall Street money are behind Manwin's loans, as I said look at Mark Dreir. He managed to build his law firm into a huge behemoth between 2005-2009 based on ripping off hedge funds. Mark also used to like to attend charity events and portray himself as a visionary in the field until it all collapsed and the bullshit was revealed for what it was.

I can only speculate that the big money for those loans came from inherently shady backgrounds. Securing multiple leveraged loans on existing businesses in porn is virtually unheard of and I cannot see Wall St doing that. The money had to come from somewhere else. Let's hope the media will do their job and find out where. In the meantime government's have every right to take a closer look and see if there any potential money laundering involved because in my mind it is certainly suspicious. Tax investigations may reveal the true source of the funding.

Also as the excellent Mike South has pointed out the same people behind Mansef appear to be heavily involved in Manwin.

Mansef had to forfeit 2.4 million in 2010 I recall based on alleged money laundering through a business in Atlanta. Surely the DoJ cannot be so stupid and are keeping an eye on these people. The German's through a tax investigation may open up a can of worms.

I read the post from duke, and i didn't see where duke put money up for nathan. it sound like they partnered where duke probably provided the content and nathan the programming. duke said nathan later bought him out. it's no secret that nathan got paid a couple million from the nats buy out. so he did have money to start with. according to nathan he took that couple million and turned it into over 50m in just 3 years. it was 3 years later before he bought mansef and he likely did a lot of that in payments. he later got the wall street money.

With 3 million dollars you don't need to partner with someone for content. You pay someone to produce it for you. And if you know what you are doing you also don't need someone else to help you do it. Point being, he had money but had no idea how to run a site. He was a programmer and that's all. He needed Duke because Duke knows how to run a program and sites. Somewhere along the way he hit his head on the toilet and the Lord bestowed upon him all the information in the known universe.

More oddities... According to Wikipedia, Manwin was founded in 2007. Based on what Fabian said at his keynote, it was a random name he got from Xpays that was close to Mansef. However, the Mansef deal didn't come until 2009 according to AVN. Rogue Wikipedia employee?

There was no "nats buyout". And if NATS is worth a couple of million dollars all together I would be kinda surprised.

Do the math yourself. Take the cost of NATS affiliate software. Then figure out how many affiliate programs would have to buy it to make a million dollars.

Secondly...as I understand it...Fabian had a small percentage of the company as part of his pay as an EMPLOYEE. TMM bought that back from him to get rid of him.

I doubt that was worth 2 million or whatever a "couple" of million is. I know I wouldn't have paid it.
