Nat Geo completely turned to shit!

Finding Bigfoot, chasing ufos and now they were advertising for end of the world weekend. So fucking dumb and pathetic.
Instead of using science and facts to explain it's all bullshit they do what the average conspiracy nutter does: spreading lies, nonsense and fear.
And it can't even blame them. Obviously this is what people want too see. They want to believe. They don't care about facts because facts are boring. And it seems it's getting worse every year. So many people around me are starting to believe this stuff, fed to them by shows like this. If this continues they all turn in complete lunatics like johnny and imbecile buddies.

Nat Geo found out what other networks have, if you take a TV show, remove the expensive actors, then remove the expensive writers, you have a TV show without the high prices and talent, aka reality TV.

And people will still watch it.

Yeah I used to love watching National Geographic, Discovery, and History... Now it's about stupid shit... Who the fuck cares?

I don't even watch TV anymore.

At least the Science channel has cool shit with Morgan Freeman in it.

I found out recently that TLC originally stood for "The Learning Channel." It is now more like the cheap reality show channel.

I actually changed pay TV providers because of all the crap they're screening. Now connected via internet with better quality on-demand shows.

I've turned to PBS and watch the Ken Burns Docs... I also like the Crime Channel and The Bio Channel, but mostly its just shit and not worth the subscription.... South Park on Demand is getting a bit of a work out right now!

The "show" where the guy travels the world looking for MYTHICAL creatures is just plain annoying. He never finds a thing, and at the same time he drags out time while sounding straight up stupid about it - and of course really believes he will find something.

nat geo is owned by the same people who create honey boo boo child. these owners have made themselves super-rich creating shows rife with conflict, classism & racism. Its junk food TV, & they make it because the public consumes it. i doubt a sober program about the truth of 12/21 would bring in any viewers. but a show about what would happen if it does is a lot more interesting. Hence the tilt to sensationalism.
